HYBRID SALES & MARKETING
Job Description:
- Part Time: must work on weekends and 1-2 week days
- Sales - showing clients jewelry, explaining the custom process & how we do fine jewelry differently
- Repair - fine jewelry repair intake & coordinating with clients and your team
- Inventory - taking photos of finished jewelry, printing tags, adding to inventory, etc.
- Marketing - email newsletter, managing social media, event planning and coordination with Backyard on Blake
- Generate content - capturing videos of our jewelers working, behind the scenes, idea generation, posting stories, scheduling posts, etc.
- General shopkeeping - Light cleaning, organization, dusting, etc.
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- Minimum three years of retail or other relevant work experience
- Previous work history with fine jewelry is a huge bonus
- Professionalism with clients and other businesses in the area
- Respect for diverse identities
- Punctual & Responsible
- Self-starter
- Desire to work in the jewelry industry long-term
- Knowledge of various precious metals, gemstones, diamonds, jewelry processes, techniques, etc.
- If knowledge is limited, at least a passion and commitment to learn more
- Desire to be a long-term member of a team
- Growth mindset
- Excellent communication: verbal, written and on the phone
JEWELER'S APPRENTICE
Job Description:
- Part Time: must work on weekends and 1-2 week days
- Repairs - Assistance with fine jewelry intake, coordinating with other staff members and clients
- Sales - showing clients jewelry, explaining the custom process & how we do fine jewelry differently
- Custom Projects - meeting with clients, completing custom projects, coordinating with clients and other staff members
- Creating Original pieces - help build our our shop's inventory and co-design pieces alongside our head jeweler and business owner, Jiovanni
- Shop Keeping: Organization & light cleaning, sweeping, dusting, etc.
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- Minimum three years of retail or other relevant work experience
- Prior jewelry making experience: minimum 3 years
